Due to high prices, Republic Services expects full-year revenue to exceed predictions.

Feb. 28 (Reuters) On Wednesday, New York Federal Reserve President John Williams said that while the U.S. central bank's 2% inflation target is still far off, data could lead to interest rate decreases this year.

According to LSEG statistics, the company forecasts full-year 2024 revenue of $16.10 billion to $16.20 billion, above analysts' $15.85 billion estimate.

"Our strong financial guidance is supported by pricing in excess of cost inflation," Republic Services CEO Jon Vander MArk remarked.

It predicts 2024 profit per share between $5.94 and $6.00, compared to analysts' $5.98.

Republic Services, WM (WM.N), opens new tab, and municipal trash departments are the two largest waste services firms in the U.S.

They collect garbage from houses and apartments in vast portions of the country.

Peer WM exceeded quarterly profit predictions this month because waste management businesses could charge high pricing due to their important services.

The Arizona-based corporation beat forecasts with an adjusted profit of $1.41 per share in the fourth quarter of 2023.
