Rita Moreno criticizes Hollywood's 'awful' women, reveals 'Trump Sandwich' recipe

Rita Moreno overcame cruel females in Hollywood. The iconic actress promoted her new film "The Prank," in which she plays a cruel professor wrongfully accused of murder, on "The View" on Monday. In her journey to prominence, she met "awful" Hollywood ladies who inspired her portrayal, she told morning talk show hosts.

I thought, "How do I play this terrible person?" I thought of all the ladies, especially in show business, who had mistreated me "Moreno, 92, recalled.

The "West Side Story" actress added: "I told myself, 'I'm going to use all of the things that they did with me and my tiny Puerto Rican past,' and I do. That was fun!"

Moreno didn't name anyone, but co-host Ana Navarro gave her paper to write them down. "The Prank" stars Connor Kalopsis and Ramona Young and opens March 15 in limited cinemas after debuting at South by Southwest in 2022.

EGOT winner provided "wonderful little joke," recipe for "Trump Sandwich." "When I visited LA, I saw a sign in a deli wall," Moreno said. And it said Trump Sandwich. It then describes it: two white bread pieces, bologna, and a tiny pickle."

The room laughed and applauded the humor. Co-host Sunny Hostin gave the recipe a "chef's kiss" and Navarro said the sandwich "probably sells for $399," referring to former President Donald Trump's footwear.

Moreno criticized Trump more seriously later in her presence. "I am not about to vote for someone who has 91 indictments against him for criminal activities," stated. "Enough already. So foolish. Look at Biden's accomplishments."

Republican Navarro said, "I'll take 81 years over 91 counts any day," to which Moreno replied, "Absolutely. It's awful!"
